Why I love it: Snakes are symbols of transformation, rebirth, healing, and feminine power

My favorite detail: I love how the metal has been worn down and smoothed out from years of use.

Perfect for: A sentimental sweetheart  

Why I love it: The alliteration and lovability of the phrase "Friends, Flames & Family" immediately got me. You have no idea how hard it is not to keep this bb for myself.  

If this address book were a person: Phoebe Bridgers 

If this address book were a movie: The Before trilogy (1995-2013) dir. Richard Linklater  

If this address book were a song: "The Melting of the Sun" by St. Vincent 

My favorite detail: The gold edged pages truly razzle and dazzle when they catch the light just right. She's a real showstopper. 

Good to know: 

La Posta Is Here Letter Opener

Perfect for: The polished, timeless one  

Why I love it: I immediately feel transported back in time when I hold this beaut in my hands — it was made in Italy by a company that existed in the 1920s, so it could be up to 100 years old! A true classic.

If this letter opener were a movie: La Dolce Vita (1960) dir. Federico Fellini

If this letter opener were a song: "Volare" by Dean Martin

My favorite detail: I love the itty bitty "Made in Italy" engraving on the back, and the tiny Greek key pattern that wraps around both sides.

Blue Dreamy Address Book

Perfect for: The 1960s, 70s & 80s lover  

Why I love it: The second I saw the inside of this address book, I gasped. It felt like something I'd dreamt up. Every page is full of my favorite font, straight out of the 70s.  

If this address book were a person: David Bowie 

If this address book were a movie: Le Mépris (1963) dir. Jean-Luc Godard 

If this address book were a song: "Blue Sky" by The Allman Brothers Band

My favorite detail: The font the font the font <3 To say I wish I could use it myself is an understatement.

Bake Me A Cake Letter Opener

Perfect for: The chill homebody  

Why I love it: I've never seen a sweeter letter opener than this one. It's from an era where it was common for small businesses to make custom metal letter openers to promote their businesses, a.k.a it's very, very old (and extremely adorable).  

If this letter opener were a person: Drew Barrymore 

If this letter opener were a movie: It's Complicated (2009) dir. Nancy Meyers

If this letter opener were a song: "Be Sweet" by Japanese Breakfast

My favorite detail: I've never seen a letter opener with the words "bread" or "cakes" engraved on it, plus the name of the bakery "A-Loaf Baking Co." makes it a gem of a find.

Good to know:

Perfect for: The nature lover  

Why I love it: It's almost impossible to look at this frog and not smile. I love the way someone carved it so carefully and how smooth and solid the wood feels.

If this letter opener were a song: "Box of Rain" by Grateful Dead

My favorite detail: I'm mesmerized by the little yellow eyes on both sides of the frog and the carved details on its body.

Perfect for: The sporty one  

Why I love it: I love tennis. I love watching it, I love the yellow bouncy ball, and I love the summer-ness of it all.   

If this letter opener were a person: Carolyn Bessette Kennedy 

If this letter opener were a movie: The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) dir. Wes Anderson

If this letter opener were a song: "Giving Up the Gun" by Vampire Weekend

My favorite detail: The 28 individual tiny metal "strings" of the racket — I love the way it feels to run my fingers over them. It reminds me of how weirdly satisfying it is to run my fingers over the strings of a real tennis racket.

Good to know:

Perfect for: The world traveler 

Why I love it: When I held it in my hands I knew it was high quality. It's very heavy and you can tell it was made a long time ago.

If this letter opener were a movie: Lost in Translation (2003) dir. Sofia Coppola  

If this letter opener were a song: "Ça plane pour moi" by Plastic Bertrand 

My favorite detail: The little version of the famous "Manneken Pis" statue in Brussels, Belgium on the top of the letter opener is just like a tiny statue that my grandpa brought back from WWII.

Good to know:
